Finally watched Avatar... on 3D!
I've never watched any movie in 3D format before - 4D or 3D motion master doesn't count. If there ever should be any movie that just HAD to be watched on 3D, Avatar would be it.
The forest on Pandora, or Hometree as it was known in the movie, looked amazing. The trees, leaves, plants, etc. looked so lively. The flying and floating creatures looked nice on 3D too. I especially like the 'floating jellyfish'.
After reading the review written by a friend, I had doubt on this movie at first :p
As it's a free-seating cinema and my friend and I went in just on time, we had to sit quite near the screen. Because of that, and the fact that the 3D glasses kept falling down - I wonder if that's because I wore it on top of my short-sighted glasses or because my head is just too small? :p - I felt kinda sleepy in the first 10 minutes or so.
I had to practically hold the 3D glasses throughout the movie! Anyway, after I got used to it and the movie started to become interesting, I really enjoyed it.
However, I agreed with Bamboo that you could already figure out the plot, the good guys and the bad guys 10 minutes into the movie. And the movie somehow reminded me of Pocahontas. My friend thought the same too.
I disagree on calling the Pandora inhabitants Aliens though. It all took place on Planet Pandora, so if there ever should be anyone labelled as alien, it would be the human (the Sky People or dreamwalker as it was known by the Pandorans).
Oh, and I must say that the Pandorans do have nice figures... curvacious, slim waist and a lithe body :p
