An unexpected turn of events

Was in KL for two days (Wed and Thurs) to settle something. It was quite a last-minute arrangement, so at first I only planned to spend the night at a friend's place and leave right after I settled everything. But things turned out unexpectedly! And an enjoyable one too!

My ex-coursemate, Esther, who was supposed to be away for an outstation trip on Wed suddenly called me on Tuesday night to tell me that her trip had been cancelled and that I could stay at her place. So on Wed evening, she picked me up from the LRT station and we went straight to her house to bath. We had at first plan to only meet up with an ex-coursemate, Yuki for dinner at Sunway Pyramid. But coincidentally, some other friends sms to ask about some other things, and when they knew of our dinner, they decided to join us!

In the end, seven of us turned up. Me, Esther, Yuki, Chloe and Kuek (also ex-coursemates), Kenix (Yuki's current housemate) and Niki (my hometown best friend). Too bad it was quite late, else we would have asked Rain to join us as well. And BL (another friend) had just left KL two days ago.

Anyway, we went to Sakae Sushi for dinner (or rather supper, cuz by the time food arrived it was already quite late!).... Niki arrived with a belated birthday gift for me and a box of J.Co doughnuts! I was told they're the latest craze in town and people had to wait in long queues just to have a taste of the doughnuts. And Niki queued up just so I could have a taste! I felt so touched!

Kuek was the last to arrive. Everybody seemed to look and behave the same, though Kuek had a new trendy hairstyle hahaha.... but in general, everybody's role was still the same. Esther kept grumbling and complaining about the slow service (looks like Sakae Sushi Sunway Pyramid would be black-listed from now on). And Kuek kept teasing me, saying how my Mandarin sucked when I first went to Johor and how I had improved by leaps and bounds. He even added that he felt proud as a Johorean because Johor had managed to Mandarinise me! :p

By the time we left, most shops were already closed. We went our separate ways home.

The next morning, Esther, Kuek (who is staying in the row behind Esther) and I had breakfast together. Kuek sent me to my destination after breakfast. I bumped into a friend there, who was also heading the same way, so we travelled back down south together.

I felt tired and sleepy, but really glad to have met up with friends.

And my baby is back.... though smelling of paint, but shiny, safe and sound!

good for you.. finally got your "legs" back. Seemed like an awfully long time for a minor "accident".
